to carry out the process of electrolysis of water the h2so4 is added to the water in order to make it conducting solution and addition of h2so4 makes the solution conductive because acids are good conductors of electricity moreover the addition of h2so4 in h2o leads to the production of more ions thus it become conducting in nature
