When it comes to content don’t think of it as any cms rule. It is definitely more of article writing knowledge\knowledge.
Title and subtitle is a basic writing concept to where the title is a leader,or subject, of the articles briefly explained; the subtitle is an extension or breif explaination of an article as a whole.
You can go into more with teaser, or brief snippet of the article; most interesting piece of the article to entice a user to read more.
In many cases you can skip one of the three above and only hold two of them. I personally like the subtitle/teaser look.
However I would suggest using a title where you would want to showcase the subject matter of a few articles at once. the most obvious use is a page title is your title and any title after that may be considered a subtitle. It can be confusing because in this case the title of your article is a subtitle to the page.
These should also be consider for SEO purposes. It is a great way to gain more natural hits and deep dive clicking to your information/article.
Take a look at books that explain how to write a reasearch paper or newspaper article. They should help because they contain the same ideal structure.
