fungi are saprophytic that means mushrooms are saprophytic unlike plants which are autotrophic.

mushrooms do not contain chlorophyll unlike plants.

plant body is differentiated into leaves,stems,roots but mushrooms are not differentiated they are fruiting bodies of fungi.

the study of fungi ex:mushroom is mycology ; the study of plants is botany
