rational because √49=7
so it's 7/147 = 1/21.

Shwet11: it's irrational because when a rational mean √49=7 id divided by √147 which is irrational that's why it is irrational

Hey friend,  Harish here.

Here is your answer:

We know that,

An rational number is of the form p / q , Where p & q are integers & q ≠ 0.

Then,

 \sqrt{ \frac{49}{147} }=  \sqrt{ \frac{1}{3} } =  \frac{1}{ \sqrt{3} }

Here 3 is an irrational number .

Therefore it is an irrational number.
