The Mughal architecture in India still is an example of their wisdom in the art of masonry. You can see the water channels at Humayun tomb which carry water in all the directions and a water body at Fateh Pur Sikri provided a whiff of cool air. The high arches and openings on the either side for cross ventilation kept the heat away. Furthermore, they had hammams in the places to beat the heat during summers. Besides, courtyards and verandahs are commonly seen in their buildings which provided relief from the scorching heat outside.
