Identify and label three major iron ore producing areas in the given map of the world.
- A sizable share of the world's iron ore deposits are held by Australia and Brazil, two of the biggest iron ore producers in the world. The majority of iron ore exported worldwide comes from Australia. Around 20% of the total iron exported worldwide came from Brazil. With the exception of Antarctica, hematite iron ores are found in abundance on all continents, with particularly high concentrations in South America, Australia, and Asia.
- Due to its prevalence, it serves as the primary mineral for current iron smelting. With 37.6% of the world's production, Australia is the largest producer of iron ore. With a 70% iron content, magnetite is the finest kind of iron ore. Odisha produces the most iron ore in India and comes in fourth in the world for iron ore production.
- India's top producer of iron ore is Karnataka, who is followed in production by Orissa, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Jharkhand, and Andhra Pradesh. Hematite and magnetite are the two most significant iron ores found in India. Whereas 79% of the haematite ore deposits are in the Eastern Sector (Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Odisha, and Uttar Pradesh), 93% of the magnetite ore deposits are in the Southern Sector (Andhra Pradesh, Goa, Karnataka, Kerala, & Tamil Nadu).
- Massive hematite, which is the most frequently mined type of iron ore deposit, as well as magnetite, titanomagnetite, and pisolitic ironstone are the other three.
