Dobereiner's triad are:- Be(9.0), Mg(24.3), Ca(40.1) as:- The avg. mass of Be and Ca=(9+24.3)/2=24.3 which is the mass of Mg. Therefore, these elements have similar chemical properties.

Groups of three elements having similar properties are known as triads

The atomic mass of the middle element is APPROXIMATELY equal to the mean of the atomic masses of the other 2 elements...

According to that....

Mean of Mg and Sr is 55.95

Ca=40.1

Therefore 55.95 is not approximately equal to 40.1....Hence it is not a triad.

Mean of S and Te is 79.8

Se=79.0

Therefore 79.8 is approximately equal to 79.0...Hence, it is a triad.

Mean of Be and Ca is 24.5

Mg=24.3

Therefore 24.5 is approximately equal to 24.3...Hence, it is a triad.

I hope this helps you enough.
