The diploblastic and acoelomate animals are found only in Phylum Cnidaria or Coelenterata. These animals are mostly marine, like jelly fish, corals and sea anemones.

This phylum is named Cnidaria due to the presence of cnidoblasts with stinging cells on the tentacles of these animals. As they are diploblastic, their bodies have two cellular layers, namely ectoderm and endoderm.
