Caso4•1/2H2O( calcium sulphate semihydrate) is used for plastering of fractured bones. It's commonly known as plaster of Paris.

Caso4•2H2O when heated we get plaster of Paris(Caso4•1/2H2O) and3/2 molecules of water.
