CHEMICAL NAME- CALCIUM HYPOCHLORITE

FORMULA-Ca(OCl)2

PREPARATION- It is prepared by passing chlorine gas through a solution of Calcium Hydroxide or Slaked Lime [Ca(OH)2].

CHEMICAL EQUATION- Ca(OH)2 + Cl2 → Ca (OCl)2 + H2O

i.e. when calcium hydroxide is passed through chlorine gas at 40° C ,it gives calcium hydrochlorite or bleaching powder along with water as products.

I HOPE THAT MY ANSWER HAVE HELPED YOU.
