Hydrogenation of C6H12

C6H12 --------------> C6H14

This hydrogenation reaction takes place in the presence of catalyst Palladium.

The optically active hydrocarbon is C6H12 ( chemical name : 3 Methylpent - 1 - ene ) has 1 chiral carbon atom.

After catalytic dehydrogenation , the compound that will be obtained will be C6H14 and has no chiral carbon atom.
