HELLO THERE!
There are many different kinds of food pollution, which are caused by different sources too. Here let me give you some:
#1. Dust: Dust is one of the major sources of food pollution. The toxic gases that are released from the industries adds to the air pollution. The molecules of these gases mix with the dust (sand, and other earthly particles too). When wind blows with a great speed, or during storms, these dust particles pollute the food which are kept in the open (exposed to the dust, because they are kept uncovered). Diseases of lungs can be caused by eating these food.
Solution: To get rid of pollution caused by dust, just keep your food well-covered, so that the dust cannot enter and pollute your food. Cleaning devices like Scrubbers and Precipitators shall be fitted on top of the chimneys of industries.
#2. Water: Water, too, is a well-known source of food pollution. Well, life without water is impossible. So, besides taking food, you need to consume water too. Mostly, in the village areas, people are unaware of the fact, that polluting water is 100% a bane. They are washing clothes in the river water, washing untensils, washing their cattle, and doing so many things in fresh water, which are polluting them. Further, water with harmful chemicals is released to freshwater lakes, which are polluting them as well.
=> There is one more practice, prevalent in India, which is polluting the water of Ganga. According to the Hindu rituals, people throw the ashes into the water of the Ganges, after burning a dead body. Believe it or no, this is also a source of water pollution. Hence, in these ways, water pollution can also be taken side-by-side to food pollution.
Solution: Education is the main solution to this problem. The people must be made aware of the importance of water and the harmful consequences of polluting water.
#3. Insects: Typhoid and Cholera are two most common diseases which are caused due to contamination of food and water. Houseflies are the main agents causing cholera. Houseflies generally like the places which are dirty and smelly. So, they sit on these places. Then, then sit on your food, contaminating them. You may have noticed, that a housefly, when resting, always keeps its back legs rubbing against each other, which drops the dust particles and germs on your food.
Solution: The one and only solution to this problem is "keep your food covered and safe from houseflies". Cover dirty places like dustbins, so that the flies do not get a chance to sit on them again.
#Bacteria: According to a research in the UK, a bacteria named Campylobacter is responsible for causing food-poisoning. The research has also said that the bacteria are usually found on raw or meat which is not cooked properly, unpasteurised milk and untreated water.
HOPE MY ANSWER IS SATISFACTORY....
THANKS!
