Hi friend,

We hear different sounds all the time.Some are soft while some are loud but what factor make sound like this.Its AMPLITUDE.If the amplitude will be higher then the sound will be loud but if the amplitude is low then the sound will be soft.

Example-Take a tabla and strike it's vibrating sheet softly,u will hear soft sound but when u strike harder then the sound will be loud.

We here daily various type of sound some are louder and some are softer. We can say the sound is louder when its AMPLITUDE is high and we can say the sound softer when its AMPLITUDE is low. We also know that soft sound is infra sound and loud sound is untra sound. Some examples are as follows;
(1)sound of a school bell is type of a loud sound.
(2)sound of a T.V in your home is type of soft sound.
