  • The unburnt carbon particles are present in the luminous middle zone of the candle flame which help in forming the circular dark rings.

(c) The zone which contains unburnt vapours of wax

  • The unburnt vapour of wax is present in the innermost or the dark zone of the candle flame.

(e) Zone of complete combustion

  • The outer zone which is blue in colour is said to be the zone of complete combustion.

(f) Zone of partial combustion

  • The middle zone which is yellow in colour has partial combustion of fuel.
