identify the following tissues
1 epidermisof leaf stores fat, ligament, heart , vascular bundles bone brain
Answers
Answer:
. Epidermis of leaf consist of epidermal cells which form the epidermis, epidermal appendages like root hair and trichomes and the stomatal apparatus. Epidermal cells are elongated living cells. These are parenchymous in nature and possess a large central vacuole with thick outer wal.. In leaf epidermis, bulliform cells are found which help to reduce transpiration.
2. Xylem and phloem are together known as vascular bundles. Xylem conducts water and minerals while phloem help in the translocation of food. Xylem consist of tracheids, vessels, xylem fibres and xylem parenchyma. Xylem parechyma is the only living tissue and they help in the radial conduction of water. Phloem consist of sieve tube, companion cells, phloem fibres and phloem parenchyma. Phloem fibres is the only dead tissue and they possess thick lignified walls.
3. Adipose tissue or adipocytes stores fat in the form of fat globules in our body. This is a type of loose connective tissue . Each fat cell is rounded or oval in shape. Fat cells are present beneath the ski, around the kidneys and heat. They help in the insulation of the body, storage of fat and also helps i shock absorption.
4. Bone cells are made up of osteocytes which is a skeletal conective tissue. It is the hardest tissue found in the body. The matrix of the bone is made up of a protein called as the ossein. The matrix is pliable and rich in calcium salts and collagen fibres. Osteocytes are irregularly shaped and are mature and non dividing.
5. Ligaments are made up of fibrocytes which are the largest cells of connective tissues. They are a type of loose connective tissue and have the ability to synthesise proteins like collagen and elasti.
6. Brain is composed of very soft tissue called as the neural tissue. These tissue consist of neuroglial, ependynal ad neurosecretory cells. Neural tissue is present in the brain, spinal cord and the nerves of the human body. Nerve cells are the longest cells present in the body and are also called as neurons.
7. Heart is made up of cardiac muscles which form the myocardium. Cardiac muscles are involuntary, branched and striated. These are multinucleated and is separated by intercalated disc.
