हजरत उमर इब्न अल-ख़त्ताब (अरबी में عمر بن الخطّاب), ई. (586–590 – 644) मुहम्मद साहब के प्रमुख चार सहाबा (साथियों) में से थे। वो हज़रत अबु बक्र के बाद मुसलमानों के दूसरे ख़लीफ़ा चुने गये। मुहम्मद साहब ने हज़रत उमर को फारूक नाम की उपाधि दी थी। जिसका अर्थ सत्य और असत्य में फर्क करने वाला है। मुहम्मद साहब के अनुयाईयों में इनका नाम हज़रत अबू बक्र के बाद आता है। उमर ख़ुलफा-ए-राशीदीन में दूसरे ख़लीफा चुने गए।
