  • Relations within the subtribe were ad-hoc, since there no particular monarch. During calamities, conflicts and natural disasters including drought, floods and famines , subtribe had come together to help one another
  • The Luos organized their security and defense at sub-tribe level led by a commander named Osumba Mrwayi, who was a member of the elders council. The council had a spokesperson who spoke for the council on  issues in village-market sessions, cultural and religious ceremonies headed by Ruoth
