EXTRA INFORMATION:

ACTIVE VOICE:

When the subject of a sentence is the doer or actor, the verb is in "Active voice". It is so because the subject is active.

Ex. Teena opened the door.

The structure of the verb in active voice is:

Subject of the verb.         +.           Verb             +            Object of the Verb

     (Heena)                                 (opened)                           (the door)

PASSIVE VOICE:

When the subject of the verb recieves the action named in the verb, the verb is said to be in the passive voice. Here, the doer is placed in the end.

Ex. The door          was opened           by Heena.

        (subject).          (verb)                    (object)
