If there is no direction change, there is no refraction. That’s what refraction is.
The condition for that to be the case is that both material have the same index of refraction. The most accessible way I know of to get reasonably close to this condition is Pyrex in vegetable oil. The Pyrex almost completely disappears, and cannot be seen at all from further away than a foot or so.
