Given

To identify the terms and co-efficients of the given expression

Terms : which consist of how many terms present in an expression.

Co-efficient : which is a number or constants ( 0 to n numbers ) , comes before a variable like x,y,p,q,a,b...z, so on.

1. -20p + 5p -7z

   Terms in the given expression is 3.

   They are -20p, 5p, -7z.

    Co-efficient of p is -20, 5 and z is -7

2. 8x - 20y - 10

    Terms in the given expression is 3.

    They are 8x, -20y, -10

    Co-efficient of x is 8 and y is -20.

To identify the factors of the terms of the given expression

Factor : which on dividing a number or expressions by another number or expressions leaves remainder zero. Then, it is said to be factor.

Example: 2 and 8. Multiplying these numbers gives 16.

                Now, divide 16 ÷ 2 = 8 ---> Leaves remainder 0.

                                     16 ÷ 8 = 2 ---> Leaves remainder 0.

3. 5 + 6a + 11b

   Factor of 5 is 5 × 1 = 5.     -----> ( 1 term )

   Factor of 6a is 6 × a = 6a. -----> ( 2 terms )

   Factor of 11b is  11 × b = 11b. -----> ( 2 terms )

4. 12m - 2n

   Factor of 12m is 12 × m = 12m. -----> ( 2 terms )

   Factor of -2n is -2 × n = -2n. -----> ( 2 terms )
