Well this is the example of displacement reaction.

More precisely it's a single displacement reaction.

A displacement reaction is one in which one or more than one substance is replaced by the other more reactive substance in a compound. This happen when there is element who is strong enough to replace the existing element in the compound in order to make the more stable compound.
In the reaction above mentioned Zinc is replacing the hydrogen in the HCL which result in the production of Zinc chloride and release of the replaced hydrogen gas.

The reaction given in the question is a single displacement reaction. Single displacement reaction also simply called displacement reaction is a type of reaction in which an element reacts with a compound and takes the place of another element in that compound.
Generally it is represented by:
X + Y-Z  → X-Z + Y
All simple metals with acid reactions are single displacement reactions.
In the above reaction, Zinc reacts with hydrogen chloride, displaces hydrogen from chloride and form zinc chloride while hydrogen gas is released.
