Life was very difficult during the Great Depression. ( though I never experienced it)

The entire nation of America was on a economical lockdown which ruined the lives of many. People became tensed and stressed because of which they started commuting suicides. The national suicide whoopingly shot up like anything.

People were rendered jobless and there was nothing with them. Housewife's began to cook one pot meal with all the necessary ingredients only.

All sorts of entertainment like theatres and games were reduced to one- third. People who a little bit of plot even started to cultivate on that.

All said and done, it was a journey of survival.
