HI !

(a+b)² = a² + 2ab + b²

so , (x+b)² = x² + 2xb + b²
===========================

(a-b)² = a² - 2ab + b²

so , (x-b)² = x² - 2xb + b²

Hey there!
==========================
(x+b)²

=(x+b)(x+b)

=x(x+b)+b(x+b)

=x²+bx+bx+b²

=x²+b²+2bx

_______________________________________
(x-b)²

=(x-b)(x-b)

= x(x-b)-b(x-b)

=x²-bx-bx+b²

=x²+b²-2bx

You can use

(a+b)²=a²+b²+2ab

(a-b)²=a²+b²-2ab
