Arithmetic Progression (AP) is a sequence of numbers in order that the difference of any two successive numbers is a constant value. For identification using some patterns/numbers, the series of natural numbers: 1,2,3,4,5,6,… is an AP, which has a common difference between two successive terms (say 1 and 2) equal to 1 (2 -1).

Example - 0,2,4,6,8,10,...
Here a1=0 a2=2 a3=4 a4=6 a5=8 a6=10
THEREFORE
a2-a1= 2-0 = 2
a3-a2= 4-2 = 2
a4-a3= 6-4 = 2
a5-a4= 8-6 = 2
a6-a5= 10-8 = 2
So, as here the difference between all the terms is constant it is AP.
