(a) A mango falling from a tree – non-contact force.

Reason: The mango falls from a tree due to the influence of gravitational force, which is a non-contact force.

(b) Drawing water from a well – contact force.

Reason: While we draw water from a well, we use our muscle power, or muscular force is exerted. And the nature of muscular force is ‘contact’.

(c) A match stick rubbed on a match box – frictional force as well as contact force.

Reason: Frictional force acts here as when we want to burn a match stick, the rough side of the match box provides a force which helps to ignite the red part (red Phosphorus) to burn. Also, frictional force is a contact force.
