1. To go hard with one- difficult or problematic with someone
Example: It will go hard with Joe if he doesnt realise his mistake.
2. To hang in the balance- state of supense either succeed or fail
The game hung in the balance until the last seconds
My friends job is hanging in the balance after a bad year

3. To have no leg to stand upon- be in a situation where u cannot prove something, lack of facts to support

Eg: she complains that her friend bullied her, but she doesnt have a leg to stand upon.
