(b) A mountain is any natural elevation of the earth surface. They have a small summit and a broad base. Whereas A plateau is an elevated flat land. It is a flat- topped table land standing above the surrounding area. They have one or more sides with steep slopes.

(c) Different types of mountains are: – (i) Fold Mountain, (ii) Block Mountains, (iii) The volcanic Mountain

(d) Mountains are useful for man in many rays like, storehouse of water, it is used for irrigation and generations of hydro-electricity. It is used for cultivation of crops. It provides on idyllic site for tourists. IT is also popular for several sports like paragliding, river rafting, etc.
