in the question

means are x and 5

extremes are 0.25 and 20

As we know the property of proportion that product of means = product of extremes

so

5x = 0.25 \times 20 \\ 5x = 5 \\  x =  \frac{5}{5}  = 1

so x is equal to 1

hope this helps
