mass of one mole of carbon = 12g

mass of one mole of oxygen = 16g

so, mass of two mole of oxygen = 32g

so, mass of 1 mole of CO2 =12+32= 44g

Then mass of 0.5 mole of CO2 = 44*0.5 = 22g
