Solution:

Given 3 terms are 1/2,-7/8,-4/5

Find the LCM of 2,8,5

LCM(2,8,5) = 40

1/2 = (1×20)/(2×20)=20/40

-7/8=(-7×5)/(8×5)=-35/40

-4/5=(-4×8)/(5×8)=-32/40

Arranging ascending order,

we get

-35/40,-32/40,20/40

Therefore ,

middle number = -32/40

= -4/5

Answer:

-4/5 will be the middle if we take the LCM and arrange them in ascending or descending order
