if 1 + 2 is 5, 5 + 6 is 61 then what is the value of 3 + 4?

1. \:  \: 1 + 2 = 5 \\  {1}^{2}  +  {2}^{2}  = 1 + 4 = 5 \\  \\  \\ 2. \:  \: 5 + 6 = 61 \\  {5}^{2}  +  {6}^{2}  = 25 + 36 = 61 \\  \\  \\ 3. \:  \: 3 + 4 =  {3}^{2}  +  {4}^{2}  = 9 + 16 = 25
