According to the question

1/2 is subtracted from x which will give x-1/2

And the difference is multiplied by 4 [x-1/2]*4 to give 5

\small\red{\sf{NOW:-}}

[x-1/2]*4=5

4x-1/2*4=5

4x-2=5

4x=5+2

4x=7

\green{\fbox{\rm{x\: =7/4}}}

ᴛʜᴇ ɴᴜᴍʙᴇʀ = 7/4.✔✔
