If 1/2 of sumit salary is equal to 2/5of rajan salary and their total salary is rs 36000.find rajan salary.

Ratio of Sumit and Rajan's salary = 2/5 : 1/2 = 4:5

Therefore, Rajan's salary = 5/9 x 36,000 = Rs. 20,000
