To Find :

find the cost of 100g

Solution:

Cost of $\frac{1}{2}$kg of sal = 40 paisa

1 kg = 1000 grams

$\frac{1}{2} kg = 1000 \times \frac{1}{2} =500 g$

So, cost of 500 gram of salt = 40 paisa

100 paisa = Re.1

40 paisa =$\frac{40}{100}=0.4$

So,  cost of 500 gram of salt = 0.4 paisa

Cost of 100 gram of salt = $\frac{0.4}{500} \times 100 =0.08$

Hence the cost of 100 g of salt is Rs.0.08
