Given expression is 1/3*(3/4+(-4/5)=1/3*X +Y*(-4/5)

 We have to find  x+y w,e get

 In left side, multiplying \frac{1}{3} to the bracket term(\frac{3}{4}-\frac{4}{5} )  and after solving bracket ,

we get \frac{1}{3} \times (\frac{1}{20})

In right side , multiplying \frac{1}{3} by (\frac{-4}{5} ) it get (\frac{-4}{15} )

\frac{1}{3} \times (\frac{1}{20} )=x+y[(\frac{-4}{15} )]

multiplying 3 by both the terms ,we get

\frac{1}{1} \times \frac{1}{20} =(x+y)\times (\frac{-4}{5})

now, again multiplying both side by 5, we get

\frac{1}{4} =(x+y)(\frac{-4}{1} )

x+y =-\frac{1}{16}

Therefore, -\frac{1}{16} is a required answer.
