Product of roots is c/a (1/3)(z)=(-2/3) z=-2 Other root is -2

let the roots be x and y where y = 1/3

so x + y = -b/a
     x + 1/3 = -5/3              { 3x² + 5x - 2 = 0    where a = 3 , b = 5 and c = -2}

⇒x = -\frac{5}{3}-\frac{1}{3}

⇒x = -\frac{6}{3}}

⇒x = -2

So the other root is -2
