I.e., to subtract the sum of 1/3 and 1/5 from 1.

$\Rightarrow\ 1-(\frac{1}{3}+\frac{1}{5}) \\ \\ \Rightarrow\ 1-(\frac{3+5}{3 \times 5}) \\ \\ \Rightarrow\ 1-\frac{8}{15} \\ \\ \Rightarrow\ \frac{15-8}{15} \\ \\ \Rightarrow\ \frac{7}{15}$

This means that 7/15 part of bamboo, which is yellow, is 14m.

Let the length of bamboo be x.

So that,

$\Rightarrow\ \frac{7}{15}x=14\ m \\ \\ \Rightarrow\ x=14 \times \frac{15}{7}\ \ m \\ \\ \Rightarrow\ x=\bold{30\ m}$

∴ The length of bamboo is 30 meters.
