\textbf{Answer}

Suppose the required fraction is x

\textbf{fraction after adding 1/4 = x + 1/4}

\textbf{According to the question,}

(2/15) × (x + 1/4) = 8/9

=> (2/15) (4x + 1)/4 = 8/9

=> 4x + 1 = (8 × 15 × 4)/(2 × 9)

=> 4x + 1 = 80/3

=> 4x = 80/3 - 1

=> 4x = 77/3

=> x = 77/12

\textbf{Required fraction is 77/12}

\textbf{Hope My Answer Helped}
