If 1/5 of a number exceeds 1/9 of the same number by 40. Find the number

Answer:

1/5x = 1/9x + 40

I/5x - 1/9x = 40

2x/45= 40 ( on taking lcm as 35 in lhs)

2x = 450

x = 450/2 = 225

Thus, the number is 22t
