Given:

1.5×a=0.04×b

To Find:

\mathbf{\dfrac{b-a}{b+a}=?}

Solution:

0.04×b = 1.5×a

Which can be written as:

\mathbf{\dfrac{b}{a}=\dfrac{1.5}{0.04}}

\mathbf{\dfrac{b}{a}=\dfrac{37.5}{1}}

By Componendo and Dividendo Rules:

\mathbf{\dfrac{b-a}{b+a}=\dfrac{37.5-1}{37.5+1}}

So

\mathbf{\dfrac{b-a}{b+a}=\dfrac{36.5}{38.5}}

\mathbf{\dfrac{b-a}{b+a}=0.948}

Value of fraction is 0.948.
