Answer: 0.5

Explanation: We know that ,

Mole fraction= No of moles÷ Total no of moles

So,

Mole fraction of Glucose = no of moles of glucose ÷ no of moles of glucose + no of moles of water.

Given , mole fraction of water = 0.99

0.99= no of moles of water / no of moles of water + no of moles of glucose.

Moles of glucose= 1.80/180

= 0.01

Mole fraction of water,

0.99= moles of water/ moles of water+ 0.01

Moles of water after solving equation above = 0.01

So,

Mole fraction of glucose = 0.01/0.01+ 0.99

0.5
