Step-by-step explanation:

P(1)=(1^3)-6(1^2)+a1+b=0

=3-12+a+b=0

= -9+a+b=0

=a+b=9----------(1)

P(2)=(2^3)-6(2^2)+2a+b=0

=8-24+2a+b=0

=-16+2a+b=0

=2a+b=16-------(2)

From (1) and(2)

( 2a+b=16)-( a+b=9)

=a=7

putting a=7 in (1)

7+b= 9

b=2
