Answer: a=1 and b= - 1

Step-by-step explanation:

P(x) = ax³+ x² - x + b

Zeroes= 1 and - 1

THEREFORE BY FACTOR THEOREM

P(1)=0 and p(-) =0

P(1) = a(1)³+(1)²-1 + b = 0

a+1-1+b=0

a+b=0

a = -b

p(-1)= a(-1)³+(-1)²-(-1)+b=0

-a+1+1+b=0

-a+b+2=0

-a+b= - 2

AS a = -b

-(-b) + b = - 2

b + b= - 2

2b=-2

(b = -1)

AS a=-b

a=-(-1)

(a = 1)

HOPE IT HELPS......
