2x²+Px+4 = 0

1 is a root of the given equation.
Let the other root be "a"

We know that,
Product of roots = constant/x² coefficient
1×a = 4/2
a = 2

Therefore,the other root of the equation is 2

Now, to find P....

We know that,
Sum of roots = -(x coefficient)/x² coefficient
(1+2) = -P/2
3 = -P/2
-P = 6
P = -6

Hope it helps.....
