If -1 is a zero of the polynomial p(x)=ax3

-3x-6, then find the value of ‘a’.

Answer:

a×(-1)^3-2×(-1)^2-3×(-1)-6=0

a×(-1)-2+1+3-6=0

a×(-1)-1-3=0

a×(-1)-4=0

a×(-1)=4

a= -4
