ax² - 3(a-1)

ax² - 3a + 3

using factor theorem:

if (x-a) is a factor of p(x), then, p(a) is equal to 0.

x=1 (((x-1)))

a(1)² - 3a + 3 = 0

a - 3a + 3 = 0

-2a = -3a

a= 2/3

hope it helps you
