If ( 1/k , 6) lies on the equation 2x-3y=1 , then find the value of k.

if (1/k,6) lies on the equation 2x-3y=1 the x=1/k and y=6

substitute the values of x and y in the given equation,

2 ( 1/k ) - 3 x 6 = 1

2/k = 1+18

2/k = 19

k = 2/19
