If 1 kg of water is mixed with 2 kg of liquid of density 3 g / cm3 then average density of mixture will be ?


AaryaveerGill: is it 2.4 or 1.5 or 2 or 1.8 ?? These were the options i had to choose from

Given,
mass of water=1kg
mass of liquid=2kg
density of a liquid=3g/cm3
As we know that density of a liquid is directly proportional to the mass of a liquid and volume of a liquid.
density of first liquid=1000×3=3000g/cm3
density of second liquid=2000×3=6000g/cm3
the average density of the liquid=3000+6000/2
=4500g/cm3
