If 1 phase power is 220V , why is 3 phase 440 And Not 660V?

Answer:

The line votage is 440 volt. Also the voltage between any one phase and neutral for a 3 phase system is 240 volts. 440V in 3 phase system is line to line voltage if you calculate per phase voltage then you will get approximate same value as for 1 phase system.
