y = 2xz/(x + z) if 1/x,1/y,1/z are in AP

Step-by-step explanation:

1/x , 1/y . 1/z  are in AP

=> 1/y - 1/x  = 1/z - 1/y

=> (x - y)/xy  = (y - z)/yz

=> (x - y)/x  = (y - z)/z

=> xz - yz = xy - xz

=>  2xz = xy + yz

=> 2xz = y(x + z)

=> y = 2xz/(x + z)
